Laverton Aboriginal Art Gallery

Galleries, Museums and Collections

The Laverton Aboriginal Art Gallery is a not-for-profit organisation established to display, promote and sell authentic Aboriginal art on behalf of the people of the Laverton and Western Desert area.

The gallery houses an extensive range of art and is well worth a visit while in Laverton.

There is a wide range of acrylic on canvas paintings, wooden artefacts such as didgeridoos, boomerangs, bowls, digging, tapping and hitting sticks, beads and other locally crafted wooden items.

Hand-dyed silk scarves are a particular feature of the Marlu Kuru Kuru women’s artist collective.

Laverton is approximately a 12-hour drive from Perth and a four-hour drive from Kalgoorlie.
