The Margaret River Region’s Augusta is the nearest town to Cape Leeuwin, on the far south-west corner of Western Australia. Located where the Blackwood River spills into Flinders Bay, Augusta is just a short distance from the end of the Cape to Cape Track.
From June to August, keen eyes look towards the waters of Augusta’s Flinders Bay, where the migrating humpback and southern right whales gather for a little rest and play before continuing on their journey north to the breeding grounds.
While these majestic creatures can often be spotted close to the shore, a whale watching tour will give you the most memorable encounter, getting you closer to the breaching, spy-hopping and tail-slapping action.
Legend Charters operate their much loved Whale Watching tours daily throughout this period departing daily at 10am and 2pm from the Augusta Boat Harbour and returning two to three hours later.Carpark Family Friendly Non Smoking Public Toilet

The protected waters around Busselton in beautiful Geographe Bay is a perfect launching point for your Busselton Whale Watching Tour.
Legend Charters conduct their annual whale watching cruises in this area between September and November from the Iconic Busselton Jetty (end of Queen Street), Busselton and between June and August from the Augusta Boat Harbour (one hour drive south of Busselton).
Busselton whale watching tours offer the benefit of stepping on board their vessel Dhu Force from the Jetty platform, rather than a dinghy transfer out to the boat from the beach.
Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales use their little corner of the world as a nursery, playground and rest haven during their migration up and down the coast each year. They are often as curious about people as people are about them, coming close to the boat to check everyone out.
Both Dolphins and Seals are also regularly sighted during their tours and they also do a run down the Busselton Jetty on most tours.Carpark Family Friendly Non Smoking Public Toilet

Come deep sea fishing with the professionals!
Boasting the highest fishing catch rate on the coast (commercial and chartering), Dean and crew will put you right on top of the South West’s most prize species and teach you how to reel them.
They have top of the range facilities and equipment, but also have the local knowledge required to find top of the range South West Scalefish. All the gear in the world won’t put you on top of a Dhuie if you don’t know where to look.
After 25 years of commercial fishing specifically targeting Dhufish, they know where and when to head to the right spots (right spot, in the right area, at the right time of year and day, according to the current weather conditions). They have “bagged out” on more than 80 per cent of their fishing charters since their inception in 2010 (see the galleries on their Facebook page).
They will fish a maximum of 12 lines on their 60-foot Conquest vessel, ensuring comfort for all. Being a mono-hull, the vessel will drift straight – unlike twin-hulled vessels.Carpark Non Smoking Public Toilet
