Luridgii Tours is owned and operated by Ted Hall, a respected Miriuwung man from Mandangala in North East Kimberly. Ted carries on the stories of his mother’s sacred country, including the renowned Jaliwang (Barramundi) Dreaming of how the Barramundi travelled across the country to lay her eggs at the site of Argyle Diamond Mine. His family are the traditional people of the Mandangala/Tiltuwam land that consists of Gidja, Miriuwung and Mulngin tribal clans.

This is an all day escorted coach tour which departs three days a week (in the season), from Kununurra. On the two hour drive to the Argyle Diamond Mine site your driver will provide an informative running commentary on the landscape, history and song lines, this is the best the of both worlds the North East Kimberley has to offer. On arrival at the main gate the Luridgii guide will commence the fascinating and beautiful story of the Jaliwang Dreaming where the Gidga and Miriuwung indigenous stories combine.
They drive through the mine site to the Workers Mess where you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and an opportunity to browse and purchase a diamond from the Village shop then onto the Argyle Mine diamond gallery, with over two million Australian dollars of Argyle Diamonds and jewellery on display. Here you can truly appreciate the beauty of the rare and coveted pink diamond, only found in this place where two cultures combine, where white and coloured diamonds came to be.
