Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

The Minnawarra Historic Precinct offers a chance to absorb some of Armadale’s fascinating local history. Visit the History House Museum to view a range of interesting displays before immersing yourself in the reverence of yesteryear at the Minnawarra Chapel.

The chapel, was originally built in 1903, and was relocated brick by brick to its current location in 1987. Enjoy the calming sanctuary whilst taking in the lovely lake outlook.

The parklands surrounding the Historic Precinct provide a great spot for a picnic with a large lake, paved and shaded picnic areas, expansive lawns and a variety of water birds to keep you company.

Armadale is a 30-minute drive southeast of the city and is well serviced by buses and trains.
