The Monsignor J.C. Hawes Priest House Museum in Mullewa provides you with an opportunity to learn about the intriguing and inspiring Monsignor John Hawes, who made an enormous contribution to developing this region. Attached to the dramatic church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Priest House was home to Monsignor Hawes during his tenure as resident priest at this Catholic Church.

Housing many personal effects of Hawes, you will gain an insight into the life of this inspirational man as you imagine him at home in this two-bedroom house which is furnished with his original possessions. Examine photographs and articles written about Hawes and see some of his architectural designs on display. A guided tour is highly recommended.

Located in Mullewa, which is one one-hour drive east of Geraldton or a six-hour drive north of Perth, the Priest House Museum forms a significant part of the Monsignor John Hawes Heritage Trail, as it was known to be one of his favourite creations and is considered to be his finest work.
