New Norcia Benedictine Monastery

New Norcia Benedictine Monastery is located on the site of the original 1847 mission building . The Monastery is now home to a population of monks who live a simple communal life of prayer and work within the Monastery.

Although not open to the public, you can take a guided walking tour of the town which starts at the towns Museum and Art Gallery, the tour takes you some of the stunning town buildings and will let you experience its unique history.

If you have time to stay overnight, enjoy the hospitality of the Monastery Guesthouse and benefit from the sanctuary of this quiet retreat. It is perfect for a digital detox!

To fully experience the peace, quiet and prayer, you can participate in the daily celebration of the Divine Office and Eucharist, and join the monks for their seven daily prayers. Spiritual direction is available on request.

New Norcia is a 90 minute drive northeast of Perth.
