Ngurrangga Tours is an fully Aboriginal owned and operated tourism company that delivers tours to the coastal and inland areas around the Pilbara area, specifically within the Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi traditional country.
Clinton Walker started Ngurrangga Tours to educate and immerse people in the ways of his indigenous culture and history so that they could understand more about Pilbara Aboriginal culture and country. Ngurrangga Tours mostly operates from Karratha and offers visitors a unique experience of the Pilbara through the eyes of a traditional owner.
Guests are given the opportunity to learn about bush foods and medicines, explore stunning locations, view and understand ancient rock art in the world’s largest outdoor rock art gallery, hear traditional stories and listen to traditional songs sung using the wirra (boomerang).

Take a guided tour with Clinton through the Murujuga National Park, which has the highest concentration of Aboriginal rock art in the world and rediscover the petroglyphs (rock art) created by the indigenous Yaburrara (Northern Ngarluma) people.
The rock art has been dated back to before the ice age ended and is approx. over 40,000 years old and there is up to one million rock art images scattered across the entire Burrup Peninsula and Dampier Archipelago.

Spend the day exploring the Millstream-Chichester National Park with Clinton and learn the traditional Aboriginal stories about how the Warlu (Serpent) created Millstream during a time known as Ngurra-nyunjunggamu (when the world was soft).
Millstream is an oasis in the desert complete with stunning pools and native palm trees. Millstream is the traditional home of the indigenous Yindjibarndi people and Yarndanyirra (Fortescue River).

Take a trip out on country with local Clinton to his favourite fishing spots and traditional Aboriginal hunting grounds to catch some indigenous native tucker such as mud crabs and cook fresh kangaroo tails in an earth oven, then go foraging for native fruits and vege’s and have a big feast. You must be willing to get your hands and feet dirty on this tour as you will be walking through mud, spinifex and scrub.

A day or two may not be long enough for you to see the Pilbara, then take your time on the 3 day tour with local Aboriginal Clinton Walker. This tour will enable you to experience George Gorge which is situated on the Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi boundary, Python Pool, Pyramid Hill, Millstream-Chichester National Park, Horseshoe Gorge, Driller’s Hole and Dogger’s Gorge.
You get to do all the fun things on the overnight tour, but with an extra day to see and learn more of the traditional indigenous culture of the region.
