The team at Ultimate Adventures provide a personalized barramundi fishing experience for sportfishing people and can offer a great time for the general fisherperson or novice angler. Birdwatchers, photographers and nature lovers are welcome to enjoy their small boat adventure discovery tours.
Experienced qualified guides will take visitors on a full-day barramundi fishing safari, a one-night or a two or more-day barramundi fishing and bush-style camp stay.
Nature lovers and crocodile spotters can enjoy a personalised scenic small-boat river cruise on the Lower Ord River in the East Kimberley.
Lots of birdlife, tropical wildlife and crocodiles coexist in this unique river system. Other fish species visitors may encounter are western sooty grunter and similar species, silver jewfish, various catfish, sharks, the odd mangrove jack and sometimes a stingray or the rare sawfish.
Visitors who travel through Outback Station country and at the camp will enjoy the sounds of the bush. Certain times of the year birdwatchers will spot the beautiful Gouldian Finch.
Enjoy home-style meals using local produce and freshly cooked barramundi are on offer.
Self-contained four-wheel drive travellers are welcome to stay in the unpowered campgrounds.

Experience barramundi fishing with a qualified and experienced guide. Learn the techniques to hook a barramundi in the unique Lower Ord River system. Enjoy the thrill of the catch of Australia’s famous sportfish. Our guide will collect you from your accommodation in Kununurra or you can self-drive (4WD) to Hairy Dog’s Fishing Camp set up bush style on the banks of the Lower Ord River.
Here you transfer to the barramundi fishing boats and traverse the shallow rockbars and rapids in search of the elusive barramundi. Lots of tropical scenery, wildlife, birdlife and crocodiles coexist with northern fish species including barramundi, western sooty grunter, silver jewfish, various catfish, shark and on rare occasions a mangrove jack.
Enjoy your bush surrounds while having a fresh salad and cold meat lunch. Snacks, fruit and cool drink are also supplied. Visitors need to bring shady hat, sunblock, camera to catch the action! and wear protective outdoor clothing and footwear.
