Willie Cruises is fast becoming a legendary experience, offering people the opportunity to experience sailing the infamous blue waters of Broome in Australia’s northwest and Busselton/Dunsborough in Australia’s southwest.

‘Willie’, a 67’ Gaff Rig Schooner, modelled on the designs of early 1900 pearl luggers, was built to fish for Mother of Pearl shell Pinctada Maxima, and put Broome on the map shaping the history of the region.

The Classic Sunset Cruise Broome

Sailing between Roebuck Bay and the idyllic Cable Beach, ‘Willie’ allows you to see how a traditional gaff-rigged sailing vessel operates with all sails heaved up manually just as their forefathers did whilst taking in the beautiful sunset. With plenty of comfortable seating options aboard, anyone can enjoy the calm waters and natural beauty of the coastline surrounding Broome.

Kick off your shoes and feel the beautiful sand of Cable Beach and wet your feet in the warm Indian Ocean as you make your way to their waiting tender which will transfer you to ‘Willie’.

You can completely relax hearing stories of the rich history and culture of the area, and enjoy the delightful complimentary food served by their crew and chilled beverages of your choice from their well-stocked open deck bar. Their crew will happily point out the abundance of marine life from turtles, seas snakes, dolphins and the mighty humpback whale, to dugongs, manta rays and the plethora of pelagic fish – all in a day aboard Willie.

Busselton Jetty Morning Sail

Sailing between the Busselton Jetty and Quindalup, Dunsborough in the beautiful Geographe Bay, ‘Willie’ allows you to see how a traditional gaff-rigged sailing vessel operates with all sails heaved up manually just as their forefathers did whilst taking in the beautiful scenery. With plenty of comfortable seating options aboard, anyone can enjoy the calm waters and natural beauty of the coastline surrounding Geographe Bay.

To make your cruise with them completely stress-free, boarding will take place at Busselton Jetty and they will then return you via coach at the end of the cruise.

You can completely relax and enjoy the delightful complimentary morning tea served by their crew and chilled beverages of your choice from their well-stocked open deck bar.

Dunsborough Eagle Bay Afternoon Sail

From $120 to $150

Sailing in Dunsborough between Quindalup and Eagle Bay ‘Willie’ allows you to see how a traditional gaff-rigged sailing vessel operates with all sails heaved up manually just as their forefathers did whilst taking in the beautiful coast. With plenty of comfortable seating options aboard, anyone can enjoy the calm waters and natural beauty of the coastline surrounding Bunker Bay and Eagle Bay.

To make your cruise with them completely stress-free, boarding will take place at Quindalup Yacht Club with a courtesy bus collecting guests along the main coastal road between Busselton Jetty and Dunsborough, and will then be returned via coach at the end of the cruise.
