It is the best wildflower season since 2009 thanks to the excellent rains in the area.
Christmas Rock and Gathercole walks have an abundance of grevilleas, pink pokers, acacia, smoke bush, dampiera, tea trees, myrtles and kunzeas. Mount Matilda and Mount O’Brien are also popular.
There is a wide variety of orchids including spiders, donkeys, shirt, purple enamel, custard leopards and many more.
The festival will start on the Friday night with a Sundowner at the Visitor Centre; Saturday they have stalls, bus tours to RR, Devonshire Teas, Vintage Cars, wildflower display and Astronomer Saturday Night.
On the Sunday morning they have a Seniors Morning Tea at the Function Centre at The Station.
