The Countryman Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day is a day full of entertainment, advice, and fun.
There will be talks, demonstrations, competitions and special activities for children. Your children will love the discovery trail, camel and pony rides, camel train, dinosaur train and mounted games. There will be goats, sheep, llama, cattle, poultry display and of course, the alpaca show and sale. There will also be amazing food for sale from local groups and exhibitors.
The Honey Festival will be joining in. This year we also have the inaugural Olive Festival. Check out the Bush Verandah potting paradise. There will be worm farms,, Critters up Close and working dogs.
Talks by Simon Cherriman, Deryn Thorpe, Darryl Hardie, Mark Tucek, Rohan Carboon and Tim Eva. Further talks will be taking place in marquees at the Honey and Olive Festivals.
Entertainment in the Cafe/Entertainment area will be puppeteers, music, the Wadumbah Aboriginal Dance Group and the Mad Tatters Morris dancers.
There are exhibitors for machinery, wine, produce and a huge range of other things. The Woodturners Association of Western Australia will be back again. The Small Landholders’ Marquee have lots of advice on how to manage your acreage in a sustainable way.
