The Denmark Festival of Voice is a celebration of the power and beauty of the human voice. Each year in early June, choirs, groups, singer songwriters, poets, spoken word performers and story-tellers gather in the small village of coastal Denmark to enjoy a weekend dedicated to not only joy, but also to an exploration of contemporary issues through voice.
A project of Denmark Arts, the Festival is a celebration of the human voice, with one focus being community singing, and each year brings together an inspiring lineup of local, national and international artists in a cappella and accompanied ensemble, group and individual performances, spoken words, story telling, poetry, experimental voices and such from the edge including an array of workshops. The Free Fringe has the streets of Denmark resonating with song all through the festival.
In 2018 the festival is in it’s 14th year.
