17 Mar 2022 to 20 Mar 2022 Annual Event
The Red Earth Arts Festival (REAF) is a four-day curated, multi-artform arts and cultural festival, one of Australia’s largest regional arts festivals. Taking place in the City of Karratha, REAF is positioned in and around the Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP) and nearby indoor and outdoor urban spaces.
The program will include visual art exhibitions, artists in residence, theatre, dance, live music performances, circus, comedy and cabaret acts, literature and storytelling, community cultural performances, workshops, activations and cultural experiences.
Arts play an essential role in shaping the effervescent and sensational look and feel to the City of Karratha. REAF is fundamental in the City’s commitment to ensuring every person living in the City of Karratha has the opportunity to participate in events and festivals which are relevant, exciting and high quality. REAF provides entertainment and arts experiences that local audiences and visitors may not otherwise be able to experience in our region.
REAF is presented by the City of Karratha with support from Principal Partner Rio Tinto, Government Partners including Festivals Australia and DLGSC Regional and Remote Festivals Fund and a range of other partners.
