The Act-Belong-Commit Toodyay Moondyne Festival

Festivals and Celebrations

5 May 2019

Go back in time and visit Toodyay’s colonial festival celebrating the life of the infamous bushranger, Moondyne Joe at The Act-Belong-Commit Toodyay Moondyne Festival.

Toodyay locals dress in 1800 century costume and encourage everyone to dress in period costume and contribute to the festivals atmosphere, street theatre and fun antics.

Join in the fun and festivities as Moondyne Joe and his gang re-enact various escapes throughout the town, his arrests and mock trials while being a general menace.

Cheer on Joe’s gang, “floozies” coppers, swaggies and the Town Crier.

Don’t forget to pay The Old Gaol Museum a visit and enjoy the authentic surroundings and original artefacts. Retrace Toodyay’s colourful past … may discover some secrets?

Programme will be available online and from the Toodyay Visitor Centre and Moondyne Information Booth on Stirling Terrace.

This is a dog free event.
