The Nationals

Perth will host two editions of bowls’ showpiece ‘state versus state/territory’ national competition, the Nationals, in 2023 and 2026.

The Western Australian Government, through Tourism WA, have secured the two-week long event which incorporates six of the sport’s most revered competitions and 31 national titles as part of a newly signed two-year agreement.

Staged from October 6 to 20 next year, and again in October 2026, the Nationals will again feature all ages and abilities, spanning junior, open-age, senior, para and able-bodied events, to be held across three or more clubs located in the city, announced at a later date.

More than 1,000 interstate visitors are expected to descend on Perth for the festival of bowls, which includes the Australian Multi-Disability Championships, Australian Champion of Champions, Australian Under-18 Championships, Australian Senior Sides Championships, Australian Sides Championships and the Australian Championships.
