6 Mar 2021 to 10 Oct 2021 Annual Event
The York Festival is one of the Wheatbelt’s major festival events, offering a fabulous weekend of family friendly entertainment full of art, music, fun and laughter.
Thousands of visitors are drawn to Western Australia’s oldest inland town in springtime when the wildflowers and canola are in full bloom. In 2019 the highlight was the creation of three giant straw sculptures in and around York. This year there will be a March Mini-Fest on 6-7 March 2021 – a one weekend teaser for the September main Festival.
The program will have free or heavily subsidised arts and cultural activities, so far they will be having live Music, Poetry Slam competition, Opera on a Truck, Trail Hikes, Bridge of Gratitude, Kid’s Escape Room and more.
Previous festival attractions have included the Running of the Lambs, a maze, A Day in Japan, the Medieval Fayre, a garden art trail, makers markets on each Sunday, great exhibitions, comedy, live music and a whole lot more. Follow their Facebook page to stay informed!
Volunteers are always welcome and needed!
The historic town of York is an easy 1 hour drive east of Perth, off Great Southern Highway.
