Live from Cable Beach, Broome Western Australia, Pearls of Australia and Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm have launched the first-ever virtual pearl harvest.
Fourth generation pearl farmer and proud Baard man Terry Hunter takes to the virtual airwaves to share one of nature’s miracles – the harvest of a locally cultured pearl from the Australian South Sea pearl shell, grown in the waters north of Broome at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm.
Bringing some of his South Sea pearl shell to the harvesting table along with four generations of family pearling expertise alongside Business owner James Brown. Terry will also weave his story of living on the land and the cultural significance of the pearl shell to the Indigenous people of the area.
Pearls of Australia will host a series of live broadcasts that cover many aspects of Australia’s incredible pearling industry. This is a sneak-peak into how they cultivate, grow, harvest and grade the pearls from their farms in in New South Wales and Western Australia.
Hear some great stories, meet their crew, enjoy some ‘info-tainment’ and most of all, have some fun with them as they bring Australian pearls to your living room.
