Cruise Terminals and Airports

Berkeley River Airstrip is the quickest route to reach the height of luxury, surrounded by some of the world’s most majestic wilderness areas. From your private retreat atop the coastal dunes, incredible outback adventures can be found on foot, on the river, by four-wheel drive and on scenic flight, including the rare chance to see the Gyorn Gyorn (Bradshaw) paintings – believed to have been created around 60,000 years ago.

Berkeley River Lodge is approximately 189 kilometres from Kununurra and only accessible by air during the dry season, from March to October when the wetlands and rainforests are a luscious green. It’s airstrip forms part of the Kimberley Aerial Highway – one of several remote airstrips offering easy access to world-class wilderness and unique accommodations. Charter flights are available from Kununurra and Darwin, and offer the perfect opportunity to spot extraordinary wildlife along the way.

Tours from Berkeley River give you incredible aerial views of the famous King George Falls and a chance to hike the magnificent Mitchell Falls.

Take a heli fishing adventure to chase the elusive barramundi. Land on the summit of Mount Casuarina for sunset drinks. Or enjoy a picnic lunch beside your very own palm-fringed waterhole.
