Arrive by cruise ship to Exmouth – your gateway to World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef – the world’s largest fringing reef. Step off the white sand into clear turquoise water, and you’ll find Ningaloo’s coral gardens just a short swim from the shore. Or head to the outer reef for a rare opportunity to swim with the biggest fish in the ocean – the whale shark.
The town centre is just a five-minute taxi ride. If you’re taking a scenic flight over Ningaloo and Cape Range, a taxi will get you to Learmonth Airport in about 30 minutes.
To view some of Ningaloo’s 500 species of fish and 200 plus varieties of coral, join a glass bottom boat, sea kayak or snorkelling tour. For once-in-a-lifetime marine life encounters, take a guided swim with graceful Manta rays, Sea turtles, Humpback whales and Whale sharks.
A Yardie Creek cruise or guided walk through Cape Range will give you an introduction to local Aboriginal culture and you may spot Emus, Kangaroos, Goannas and rare Black-footed rock wallabies.
Take time to relax on Ningaloo’s pristine beaches, including stunning Turquoise Bay, head up to Vlamingh Head lighthouse for incredible views at sunrise and sunset.
