El Questro Station airstrip

Cruise Terminals and Airports

The El Questro Station Airstrip is your quickest route to one of the Kimberley’s most iconic cattle stations, surrounded by one million acres of untouched wilderness and ancient natural wonders. Hike and swim at Emma Gorge. Join an early morning horse trek. Soak in the thermal pools of Zebedee Springs. Cruise the waters of Chamberlain Gorge at sunset. Or take to the air for a breathtaking scenic flight over the Cockburn Range, Mitchell Falls, King George Falls, Lake Argyle, and the curious beehive-shaped domes of the Bungle Bungle Range.

The station sits to the west of Kununurra. Arrive in style, taking an exhilarating helicopter flight or a scenic 20-minute flight by small plane to El Questro Station Airstrip – one of a series of remote airstrips that make up the Kimberley Aerial Highway.

By road, the journey takes approximately two hours, via the Gibb River Road. If you don’t have a high-clearance 4WD, scheduled road transfers are available twice daily from Kununurra airport or the town centre.

Many tours departing from the airstrip give you more than just an eagle’s eye view. You’ll touch down and explore some of the Kimberley’s most spectacular landscapes, from Mitchell Falls to Cathedral Gorge.
