Waroona Visitor Centre and Gallery provides a valuable information service to visitors and is home to a gallery filled with quality art and craft created by talented local artists and makers along with gifts, ornaments and souvenir lines.
Out the front is Mooriel, a fibreglass life-size cow and fashionista whose outfits change every month or so. With a reputation for fun and quirky “cowture”, Mooriel has become quite the mascot and arguably the most photographed cow in Australia.
Yarn bombing also adds to the flavour around the Visitor Centre and Gallery and complements Waroona’s reputation for an eclectic mix of creative pursuits. Throughout town are stunning murals and sculptures including the beautifully carved jarrah bush poles at the tourist bay adjacent.
Make sure to pop in for an art trail map and other information on Waroona’s attractions, accommodation, dining and services.
