Mindarie

Suburb

Soak up Mindarie’s relaxed Mediterranean vibe and some of Perth’s 3,000 annual hours of sunshine as you stroll, dine, drink, fish or launch a pleasure craft from its beautiful Indian Ocean marina.

Just 40 minutes’ drive north of Perth, you can also reach Mindarie in under an hour by train and bus, taking the Joondalup line to Clarkson, where it’s a short ride by bus to reach your destination.

Take your pick from the marina’s many al fresco dining options, including a stylish microbrewery serving a selection of handcrafted beers, and watch the comings and goings of modern fishing and pleasure boats. If you’re lucky you might even spot the curious local dolphins that frequently visit the area.

Heading out from the marina, you can enjoy boating and fishing, or join a diving tour and explore the many shipwreck sites off the coast. The clear blue waters of the adjoining beaches are perfect for surfing, snorkelling and swimming.

Be sure to end the day by taking in one of Western Australia’s most pleasurable sights – watching the setting sun sink into the Indian Ocean.

Retire for the night with breathtaking views from an ocean-side suite or villa, or book into the resort-style hotel, a bed and breakfast or self-contained holiday house.
