Located in Margaret River Region, Blackwood River Houseboats is a rare chance to access pristine waterways, protected by national park and private property, normally only accessible by boat.
A hire and drive experience where you are the skipper. Cruise along quiet waterways, tramp through the bush walks, relax on the decks, slip away to the wineries from historic Alexandra Bridge or dinghy into local cafes and explore picturesque Augusta. It’s floating glamping.
Collect your boat and leave your car at the private marina. Locally named Augusta’s “Kings Park”, it’s a biodiversity hot-spot teaming with unique orchids, wildflowers, bird life, resident dolphin pod with great river fishing, local history and fresh, tannin-tinged waters. The perfect opener.
The fleet has 4-berth, 6-berth and 8-berth houseboats and carefully selected locations that perfectly showcase the Blackwood River. Ideal for families, special occasions and groups, there are several locations when you hire two or more boats. Available all year round with swimming platforms for summer and cabin heating for winter.
Designed from the outset to be an environmentally conscious and low-impact operation. Swing moorings and fully sealed vessels with zero emission motors protect the riverbeds and banks. The private marina is fully off grid with solar power and pure fresh harvested rainwater.
Induction on arrival. Non-drive option, catering and provisioning available.
