Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330-acre farm that provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats.

There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland on this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the river, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 kilometres of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm.

The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance.
