Alta Mira

Alta Mira sits on a quiet tree-lined street in Katoomba, surrounded by its lovely gardens and neighbouring Federation-style houses.

A prior renovation carefully preserved the best of the period features, such as the original imported English canopy bath in the main bathroom, while adding a new kitchen and second modern bathroom.

Alta Mira can sleep up to 12 people. Two bathrooms are servicing the house: the original Edwardian bathroom with an original glass canopy bathtub/shower plus a modern bathroom with a separate shower and spa bath.

Other features for guests’ enjoyment include a flatscreen LCD television and DVD player, and complimentary WiFi access.

Alta Mira is centrally heated throughout the house, including heated towel rails in both bathrooms. There is also a gas-log fire in the dining for great ambience and convenience as well. There are electric blankets supplied on all beds.

Alta Mira is just a few minutes’ walk to Katoomba Street, with its cafes, restaurants and shops, but is tucked away in a quiet corner of Katoomba. Perfect for a mountain getaway, you get the best of both worlds.
