Located near Teilta Homestead and the tree-lined banks of Teilta Creek, this land was once part of a vast outback station that began operation in 1865. Two decades earlier still, Charles Sturt explored this landscape on his quest for an inland sea.

Today you too can explore the fascinating geology and pastoral heritage of this area. Visit the rugged and rocky Barrier Ranges plateau or lose yourself in the red linear dunes of the Strzelecki Desert, the world’s largest dune field of this kind.
