What was once the Lewis family dairy farm on the top of the mountain, the remaining 40 acres of private native forest is bordered by the Heaton State Forest and the Watagan National Park.

From the private native forest enjoy bushwalking in the National Park, your own private camping spot, hiking, bird watching, mountain biking. Campfires are permitted, please bring your own firewood. There are no amenities – you’ll need to bring everything including a camping toilet and drinking water and leave no trace. Access suits 2WD however, in wet weather, please contact to confirm access. Camper trailers and tent campers are welcome.

The top corner of the property is diagonally opposite Watagans HQ and extends approximately half a kilometre down Bakers Road toward Hunter Lookout and Half a kilometre back along Heaton Road. It’s on the pathway of the Great North Walk. Five kilometres to Boarding House Dam.
