Diggers Rest
Where To Stay Weston, Cessnock, New South Wales
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
We have 60 acres of green luscious grounds bordered by mountains and sheer rock formations. The property is privately hidden along a 6km rural road, where you will need to cross four creeks to enter the site. You have a choice of open grassy grounds neighbouring a creek or up amongst the ferns at the base of the rock cliffs. The landscape is complimented and orchestrated by the many varieties of native birds and supervised by the kangaroos, wallaroos, wombats and cows. The main campsite is isolated in the paddock, in base of the valley, with a creek running through the middle. Large camphor laurel trees shade the middle area. The alternative campsite is a 5 min walk across the creek and into the ferns at the base of the mountains. Plenty of rock formations and hollows to explore if you are keen to ascend the mountain. Relax and listen to the crackling of the campfire in the evenings as you gaze at the night sky. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water.
