Hernani Wilderness hut is one of four unique properties under the WeilHouse Living Brand, offering a range of eco-friendly and sustainable getaways that tread lightly on the planet and cater to the more conscious traveller. Their focus is on nature, beauty and simplicity.  

This  “Off the grid hut” is situated in the New England Tablelands, a thirty minutes drive from Dorrigo and sleeps nine guests, with plenty more room for camping. The hut takes in the stunning 360 degree views of the Australian bush, surrounded by a 100 year old stone fruit orchard. It’s peaceful and totally private and you are only left with yourself and the beautiful landscape of bush and pasture surrounding you.  The incredible night skies, breathtaking sunsets and the sounds of the native birds and Australian wildlife are plentiful. 

This hut has been cleverly crafted from recycled timber and fittings with off-grid solar power, slow-combustion fireplace and indoor-outdoor living options to take advantage of the stunning daytime vistas and sparkling night skies. 

Adventurers, bushwalkers and nature lovers will delight in the easy access to fishing spots, horse riding trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, lookouts and walking tracks in all directions. The hut sits on the National Trail. the longest uninterrupted walking and riding trail in the southern hemisphere. The hut is only a short 10 minute drive to Ebor for basic supplies.
