Visitors to Black Mountain can revel in its pristine river, meander through diverse walking trails, gaze upon starry night skies, and savour the warmth of campfires. Past guests recommend a minimum two-night stay to fully embrace the atmosphere and explore the surroundings.

Accommodation options include the cozy ‘Ant Shack’ or one of four adjacent campsites, all offering convenient access and scenic views of the Nymboida River. Shared amenities encompass a revitalizing hot shower and eco-friendly composting toilets.

Here, you can partake in leisurely walks, invigorating swims, or serene kayaking trips along the river. Explore the natural wonders of the area or simply unwind for days on end. Please note that we cannot accommodate domestic animals, and fishing, even catch and release, is prohibited to safeguard our precious wildlife, including the endangered Eastern Cod.

While Black Mountain provides a remote escape, it’s just 60 kilometres from Grafton or Coffs Harbour via a picturesque back route. Access is limited to 2WD vehicles from Nymboida.
