If you’re planning a getaway with a group or family, you’ll want to find the perfect setting. At Wangat Lodge, you’ll have the rare opportunity to enjoy the company of friends and family in a secluded, natural setting.
Set in the wilderness area of Wangat Wildlife Refuge, Wangat Lodge allows visitors to see possums, wallabies, bandicoots, and more. Get a group together with accommodation for up to 10 families or 58 people, or entertain up to 80 in the Main Hall. Use the large communal kitchen or call in the caterers. Enjoy the outdoor deck, barbecue area with seating, volleyball court, and forest amphitheatre for nature-surrounded ceremonies.

The Lodge complex comprises 10 hostel-style rooms made up of four six-bed rooms, five four-bed rooms, and one two-bed room.
There is a spacious main hall with dining, lounge and recreational facilities, as well as a fully equipped commercial-size kitchen with a large fridge, freezer, huge stove, microwave and toasters. All crockery and cutlery provided.
Guests are asked to bring their own sheets (or sleeping bags), pillowcases and towels when staying in the Lodge. Pillows, blankets and doonas are provided.
As Wangat is a Wildlife Refuge, domestic pets are not permitted.
Barbecue Refrigerator Lounge/Dining Area MicrowaveThe larger of Wangat’s two self-contained bush cottages, Clancy Cottage accommodates up to seven people; perfect for a family stay or a small group of friends.
Enjoy short walks through their sub-tropical rainforest to the banks of the stunning Chichester River or venture further afield with a guided bush walk. Cool off in the Summer with a dip in one of the spectacular river swimming holes or warm up around the bonfire in the cooler months.
Plus meet the wildlife – from the wallabies and cheeky possums to the abundant birds and frogs – they’re all waiting to welcome you to Wangat!

The cottage has one queen-sized bed and one single bed, an open living/dining area with two sofa beds, a cooking bench, a fridge with a freezer and microwave. There is also a private barbecue and fire pit.
Blankets, doonas and pillows are included, but guests are asked to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels and toiletries.
As Wangat is a Wildlife Refuge, domestic pets are not allowed.
