Blackbird Flat Camping Ground is located in the Macleay Valley Coast on the western side of Kempsey. Situated on the Kempsey Armidale Road.

It is a free camping area located beside the Macleay River, which offers a back to nature camping experience. It’s a great place for outdoor enthusiasts so bring the fishing rod, canoe and enjoy what nature has to offer.

Tank water is available but bring drinking water. Pit toilets, shelter shed and covered wood barbecue area. Enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing, picnicking, four wheel driving and walking.

Pet friendly.

Not suitable for caravans, towing or large vehicles due to road conditions and restrictions. Access is via Kempsey Armidale Road which becomes a dirt single lane road at Pee Dee, North West of Bellbrook.
