Creel Bay cottages

For a tranquil weekend away, head to Creel Bay cottages in the Thredbo-Perisher area of Kosciuszko National Park. Perfect for families or small groups, the two neighbouring cottages make an ideal base to discover the rugged beauty of the Snowy Mountains.

Once you’ve unpacked and settled in, it’s time to explore. Take a bushwalk along the nearby Waterfall walking track or travel a bit further to see glacier-carved landscapes along the Main Range walk. Experienced hikers can head to the top of Australia’s highest peak on Mount Kosciuszko Summit trail, and intrepid cyclists will enjoy the thrills of Thredbo Valley track’s adventure rides.

Snow enthusiasts will find themselves close to the action in winter, with the cottages less than half an hour away from Perisher Valley.

If you don’t feel like travelling far, there’s plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. Fish for trout and go for a paddle in Lake Jindabyne, or simply enjoy the water views as you relax on the verandah.

As you explore this area, keep an eye out you may spot the eastern grey kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and possums that call this place home.
