Kestrel Nest EcoHut
Where To Stay Mount Adrah, Snowy Valleys, New South Wales
A luxury EcoHut at Highfield Farm and Woodland, nestled in rolling farmland and perched above a rocky mountain stream. A conservation area protecting critically endangered habitats, a step away.
Just 10 minutes off the Hume Highway, or seven minutes from the Snowy Mountains Highway, Kestrel Nest is easily accessible for people travelling to Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide or Sydney.
Kestrel Nest EcoHut is off-grid and off-line but with all the luxuries including an outdoor bath on the verandah, stargazing hammocks, a fireplace inside, firepit outside.
This is the perfect off-grid and off-line retreat for couples or small families. Solar panels and battery storage guarantee energy for your stay, while panoramic double-glazed windows allow glorious views.
A well-equipped kitchen will have you cooking up a storm with their farm-fresh produce and locally sourced produce available for purchase. With no nearby town, road, or farmhouse, the night sky will have you amazed.
The hut is named after the magnificent Kestrel – the only bird seen near the EcoHut for two weeks following the January 2020 Black Summer fires that came so close to their hut.
