The Young Historical Museum is located within the former Young Public School building, built-in 1883 and is full of artifacts and memorabilia relating to Young’s history.
Displays include ‘From Burrangong to Young: The Legacy of Gold’. This room includes the NSW State Heritage listed “Roll Up Banner” carried during the 1861 Lambing Flat riots, Chinese petitions for compensation, as well as other goldrush memorabilia
A variety of textiles and memorabilia from the 19th and 20th centuries
A collection of art from Helmut Hiebl (1943 – 2012), a world reknowned glass artist who lived at Murringo
