Agricultural Tours Riverina

Cultural and Theme Tours

Agricultural Tours Riverina designs and conducts educational and technical tours of Australian agriculture. They can pick up and deliver individuals or groups to any point in eastern Australia, by arrangement.

Agricultural Tours Riverina offers packaged tours of the Australian rice industry (one day), the Riverina wine industry (one or more days), irrigation water management (one day), tree nuts (one day) and Riverina agriculture in general (one to three days). Its Foodies Tour linking farms with quality restaurants and cooking classes has optional five day and three day programs. Short tours focus on Chinese Red Dates, citrus and olive growing.

All associates have policy-making, managerial or research experience. For a tailor-made tour, let them know your topic of interest, your time availability, budget, group size and mode of travel in order to obtain a costed itinerary. Make your requests and enquiries as detailed as possible so they can better understand your needs and wishes. All associates are skilled communicators.

Agricultural Tours Riverina operates over New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. The business established in 2014, but senior staff and associates have much longer experience organising technical, professional and educational tours of agricultural and environmental features.

All packaged tours involve meetings with site managers such as farmers, factory managers, researchers or others with operational insights into food and fibre production and processing.

Services

The Farming in the Riverina tour takes in the region’s key farming enterprises (seasonal), including rice, vegetable, citrus, nut, tree fruit and viticulture, as well as the water management activities that sustain them. You will visit commercial farms, research sites, historical sites and water management systems in operation.
