Located on the iconic Manly Beach, Manly Surf School has been operating for over twenty five years and is Sydney’s largest surf school. Open seven days per week, throughout the year and offering daily group lessons, private lessons and holiday programs with multiple local breaks (beaches) on offer. Experience the lifestyle on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the thrill of surfing with the locals, at one of four locations including Long Reef, Collaroy, Manly and Palm Beach.
Whether you are an absolute beginner, intermediate or pro, Manly Surf has a program that will suit every age and ability. Matt and his team of highly qualified team of instructors will take you through the basics of paddling and pop ups before heading into the water.
Low tide is best time of the day for children and weak swimmers and Manly Surf School Staff are happy to assist over the phone to discuss conditions and the best time of the day to book for families with younger children (ages 5 and up).
All equipment of softboards and wetsuits are provided for the duration of the lesson and included in the cost. Pricing packages are also available online and in person, for those wanting to surf more than once and can be used at any location.

Learn to surf in the southern corner of Palm Beach. All equipment including a surfboard suited to your abilities is provided. For beginners they use soft, stable surfboards which are easy to balance, paddle, stand and surf on.
When you arrive, look for the Palm Beach/Manly Surf School van and trailer. Bring a swimsuit and towel, wear lots of sunscreen and don’t forget your camera.

Learn to surf at Collaroy Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. All equipment including a surfboard suited to your abilities is provided. For beginners they use soft, stable surfboards which are easy to balance, paddle, stand and surf on.
When you arrive, look for the Collaroy Beach/Manly Surf School van near the Collaroy Surf Club. Bring a swimsuit and towel, wear lots of sunscreen and don’t forget your camera.

Long Reef is a hidden gem on the Northern Beaches, located between Dee Why and Collaroy Beaches. The long white stretch of sand and nearby lagoon is a great spot to learn how to surf.
When you arrive, look for the Long Reef/Manly Surf School van near the kiosk. Bring a swimsuit and towel, wear lots of sunscreen and don’t forget your camera.

The team of instructors at Manly Surf School run four day courses for kids every school holidays, even in winter. All kids are provided with the right surfboard, wetsuit and placed in the right age group to get them having the most fun and learning quicker.
Classes run for 1.5 hours and the kids are taught surf safety (rips, shorebreaks, wipeouts), surfing skills, (beginner to advanced), paddling, standing, turning, surf etiquette and how to identify dangers of the ocean. They also teach bodysurfing and surf swimming so the kids know what to do if their legrope breaks.

Spend a day surfing on Sydney’s Northern beaches. Manly Surf School will pick you up from the city, then travel to the Northern Beaches in search of the best available waves.
The trip from Manly along the Northern Beaches is very cool and the scenery quite spectacular in places.
Manly Surf School provide all the gear you need to get you through the whole day so all you need to do is book in and be ready for a day of surfing on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline on earth!
