It was late in 1931 when a few enthusiastic fellows, mainly from Evans Head, decided to form a Bowling Club. The idea was that a game of bowls was not only good sport, but also that the clubhouse would be a great meeting place when the fish weren’t biting.

Affectionately named The Bowlo by locals, it is a great spot for a social or competitive game of bowls. A variety of events and entertainment are held throughout the year, such as charity days, barefoot bowls, and Beechies water slide fun for the kids over the Christmas period. There is something for everyone all year round!
