Comerong Island

Natural Attractions

Comerong Island is located on the southern end of Seven Mile Beach.

To get onto the island, there is a small car ferry that crosses Berry’s Canal at Comerong Island Road.

Much of the island is part of the Comerong Island Nature Reserve with abundant bird life and estuary habitat.

There’s a small grassed area next to the northern car park making it a popular spot for fishing, swimming, surfing and paddling. The beach can be reached from here via a 300-metre bush walk, which may be dense in parts.

A four wheel drive track runs from the northern to the southern ends of the island.

Check the National Parks Website for any alerts for the Comerong Island Nature Reserve.
