Woebegone Freedive offers unique and adventurous beach and boat snorkelling expeditions to the seal colonies, migrating humpback whales, sea caves and white sandy beaches of Jervis Bay, as well as Freedive training courses and travel expeditions around the world.
Woebegone Freedive consists of power couple Lara and Dylan. They are South Coast locals and professional instructors with a combined 15 years experience in the dive industry and a perfect safety record. They are passionate about teaching, exploring and conserving the oceans.
All expeditions include premium freediving equipment and Lara and Dylan as your in-water guides. The expeditions cater for ages five years and beyond with no prior experience necessary.
Services
Shore Snorkelling Tour – two hours
Dynamic warm-up and breathing workshop. Basic skin diving lesson and guided tour of their favourite secret spots suitable for individual skill levels and weather conditions on the day.
Boat Exploration Tour – four hours
Remote, wild and untouched. Swim with the seals (from May to October) and visit some of the sea caves set in the spectacular cliffs. You can visit some of the steep ocean drop offs and secret grey nurse shark aggregation sites. If you are lucky the resident dolphins and migrating whales might stop by and say hello!
PADI Freediver Course – three days
An introduction to the physiology of breath-hold diving. Learn the breathing, relaxation, visualisation and stretching techniques while practising four disciplines of freediving: Static, Dynamic, Free Immersion and Constant Weight. Learn safety procedures, how to rescue an unconscious diver and how to safely freedive with a buddy in open water.
All expeditions include premium freediving equipment and us as in water guides! Their expeditions can cater for ages eight years and beyond. No prior snorkelling or Freediving experience is necessary, just comfort in the ocean and the ability to swim.
