Galleries, Museums and Collections
The main Singleton Historical Museum is based within the old Council Chambers (formerly lock-up cells) built in 1874, within the picturesque Burdekin Park.
Steeped in history, this Georgian style building with mid-Victorian portico was originally built as a gaol.
The Singleton Historical Society was granted the use of the former municipal council building in 1963, and the building is now home to the extensive Historical Museum.
From an original horse drawn ambulance cart, to furniture, farm machinery and kitchenware, the museum has something for everyone.
