Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

26 Apr 2024 Once Only Event

Join artist Zorana for an exciting bird drawing and learning workshop, where participants will learn about composing a bird drawing, the science behind bird feathers, and discuss conservation efforts to help native birds. The workshop is suitable for 10-16 year olds.

The highlight of the workshop will be the appearance of Black Cockatoos and many other birds from Feathered Friends Bird Sanctuary, which will be visiting. An experienced bird handler will be present to provide a wildlife experience.

All drawing materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Participants should also bring lunch and a bottle of water, and most importantly, come with their creativity and eagerness to learn about the black cockatoos, other native birds, and ornithology.

The workshop is a full day event. The experience will be both educational and fun, as participants explore the world of bird drawing and learn about the conservation efforts that are being made to protect native bird species.

So, whether a beginner or an experienced artist, this is a great opportunity to learn about the amazing black cockatoos and other native birds, and the important role that can be played in protecting them.
