Vintage Marine Display – Iluka Museum

The display of small vintage marine engines tells the story of the early Iluka and Lower Clarence fishing industry’s progress from using small boats propelled by sail or manpower (rowing) to the use of motorised boats. This followed the introduction of steam and petrol-powered engines in the early 1900s. Held at the Ilkua Museum.
