Wyangala Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular

The Wyangala Fireworks and Bonfire Spectacular is an annual event, beginning in 2012, and now draws an estimated 4,000 visitors made up of Wyangala Dam locals, neighboring townsfolk, and visitors that have traveled the distance.

Held at the Matt Morrison Oval Sunday of the June long weekend, this community event is made possible by dedicated volunteers from the town as well as some passionate ‘out of towners,’ and is supported by donations and generous local sponsors.

This is a free event however gold coin donations are welcomed at the gate to ensure the success of the following year’s event.

There is free and paid activities on the day. You can try your hand at the Ambrose golf event, lawn bowls, the ‘nearest to the pin’ shoot out, and junior putting competition for the kids. Live entertainment is found on the oval at selected times, as well as cash only food and drinks stalls. The fun continues at the Wyangala Country Club after the fireworks conclude.
