JADA Exhibition

The Nulla Nulla Gallery at the Slim Dusty Centre will be hosting its first major fine arts touring exhibition in April: the 2022 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA) exhibition.

Everyone is invited to attend the opening morning tea event.

JADA is an exhibition of unique and original contemporary fine art drawings and is a prestigious art award with a first prize of AUD35,000 and a non-acquisitive Early Career Artist Prize of AUD5000.

This exhibition is a touring regional exhibition and showcases the works of the 2022 finalists and winners and the Slim Dusty Centre is lucky to host such a prestigious exhibition. 56 artists were selected from 641 entries for the art prize. The exhibition includes the top 5 best works which are worth highlighting: the first prize winning art work, the Early Career Award work, highly commended work and two commended works.

The exhibition encapsulates the extraordinary spectrum of current drawing practice, from the expressive and abstract, to hyperrealism, and works that evoke a poetic and emotional response to the environment, the human condition, and current global events.

JADA was developed by the Grafton Regional Gallery and is supported by Friends of Grafton Regional Gallery.
