Shiraz Wines of Australia Dinner

Join Altar Wine Bar for a special Autumn Celebration of Food event, the Shiraz Wines of Australia Dinner, held in the marquee within the charming gardens of Altar Wine Bar, a wine bar and restaurant set within the grounds of the historical Old Church at Milton (Founded in 1883). It houses three separate and unique gardens, a bright, spacious fairy-lit marquee, and a shearing shed repurposed into an outdoor bar. Guests have described the space as “a secret garden” in the middle of Milton’s beautiful countryside.. 

Shiraz is Australia’s most popular red wine. It was one of the first introduced varieties to thrive in our soil, and today, it’s grown in almost every major wine region in Australia. Shiraz Wines are known to be bright, bold and full of personality.

Altar Bar chefs have carefully designed a six-course degustation menu to showcase some truly exceptional examples of Australian Shiraz. During the dinner you will travel around Australia one wine at a time, celebrating talented winemakers and unique terroirs while highlighting the many different regions and styles of this popular grape variety.

It will be a night of beautiful food, wine and company while gaining some industry insight into what makes this grape so celebrated and loved.
