The Affinity String Quartet at the Adelonia Theatre

Adelong Alive Museum presents the Affinity String Quartet at the Adelonia Theatre.

Earning international acclaim as the first Australian string quartet to win major prizes in four of the world’s top string quartet competitions has been momentous for Affinity Quartet: Third Prize at the 2022 Wigmore Hall International Competition (UK); Second Prizes at the 2023 Mozart International (Austria) and the 2023 Bad Tölz International (Germany); and the Grand Prize, First Prize, and Audience Prize at the 2023 Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition.

Founded in 2015 at the Australian National Academy of Music, Affinity Quartet’s aim was to give audiences an ‘inside experience of classical chamber music’. Affinity Quartet continues to champion this mission through the relationships in the Australian community, performing and commissioning of new Australian works for string quartet.
