Lochiel House Restaurant

Restaurant and Cafe

Lochiel House is a must visit when travelling to the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley.

Nestled in Kurrajong Heights, near Bilpin’s renown fruit orchards, this licensed restaurant boasts a rich history since circa 1825. Built originally as a family home by Joseph and Mary Douglass, Lochiel House has provided the best of hospitality for almost 200 years.

Offering Modern Australian cuisine with South African influences, diners are delighted with a curated blend of high-quality ingredients and fresh local produce.

Whether you’re relaxing with a glass of red by the fireplace, catching up with friends in the picturesque courtyard or meandering through the veggie gardens – this quaint and hidden gem is fun for the whole family.

Need a place to stay? The Coach House at Lochiel is your next favourite getaway. This romantic bed and breakfast provide a rural mountain escape in style.

Take a short drive-up Bells Line of Road to the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens or see the home of Hillbilly and Bilpin ciders.

Lochiel House is open Friday evenings through to Sunday lunch and hosts pasta classes, weddings, and private functions. Bookings are currently essential via the website.
