If you visit this popular hangout in the morning, you can expect a menu of classic Australian breakfast favourites: avocado smash, corn fritters and scrambled eggs are all hot tickets. Paired with great coffee, of course. Then come back for lunch and the menu is Vietnamese, with a modern twist.
To get started, order from a range of rice paper rolls filled with everything from beef and pork belly to puffed tofu. The larger dishes revolve around rice and noodles, whether that’s served up in a warming bowl of pho soup, in a laksa or topped with stir-fried beef and vegetables. A perennial star of the show are the freshly baked Vietnamese-style baguettes, which all come with house-made peanut sauce, pickled vegetables, chilli and coriander then your choice of protein, from tuna to lemongrass beef.
