Rosetta Ristorante radiates Italian charm from its elegant abode at Melbourne’s Crown Complex.

Arguably one of Australia’s most opulent dining rooms, the ambience is theatrical and moody, draped in velvet upholstery, crystal chandeliers, rich marble, damask cloths and ruched curtains.

The decadence extends to the menu, which is heavy with rich, meaty dishes such as wood-roasted meats and Tuscan bistecca, house-made pasta and gnocchi, and sensational seafood dishes including Rosetta’s signature tagliolini with crab, garlic and chilli. Desserts are a delightful flourish of hand-made gracefulness.

Rosetta is about the wine as much as it is about the food. The wine list is an exploration of the regions of Italy showcasing the classics and some of the more diverse ones. Home-grown Italian varietals feature throughout with many local favourites rounding out the selection.
